Baidu Removes all Bitcoin Ads

Baidu Inc, China's top search engine has removed all Bitcoin and cryptocurrency related advertisements without warning. The decision seems to come in the wake of many bitcoin-related scams, which poses a reputation problem in the already criticized search engine's paid advertisements. OKCoin and Huobi have both confirmed that the ban is real, although no official comment has been made by Baidu Inc so far.

Bitcoin first Coinshuffle Transaction

Coinshuffle, a proposal that received a lot of attention in April 2014, has seen its first real-world use this month. What was until now an idea, has materialized in the first anonymous transaction that took place in the Bitcoin testnet. The Coinshuffle technique hides sensitive user information, which would normally be visible in the Bitcoin public ledger. Mycelium, the wallet provider has marked Coinshuffle integration as part of their development roadmap.

Cryptsy case turns into a Class Action Lawsuit

A class-action lawsuit filed by customers of the exchange on the 27th of July has been certified by a Florida judge, Keneth Marra. The lawsuit started back in January, after Cryptsy closed all withdrawing activity, claiming that the exchange had been hacked a year and a half before the event, Paul Vernon CEO of Cryptsy claims that the hack was only revealed at the time to prevent customer panic
