Starting a cryptocurrency mining operation nowadays can be quite daunting. The sheer multitude of different mining equipment and methods can make it challenging to enter the industry, especially for non-technical users. With the number of cryptocurrency miners entering the market increasing every day, it is becoming harder to find reliable information on how to select and set up your mining equipment. It is essential to make sure you quickly configure your mining gear.
Today, we are going to show you how to successfully configure and set up your Pandaminer to get you up and running. You don’t need to be an expert programmer or tech savvy to use the Pandaminer and here’s why:
A Pandaminer is a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) integrated miner that supports multiple altcoins hashing algorithms like Ethash for Ethereum and Equihash for Zcash, along with others coins, giving the miner more flexibility.
It is assembled by high configuration graphics cards, customized and highly compatible case, professional rack, and other optimized accessories for the highest mining efficiency.
In the example below a Pandaminer B3 Plus is used which features eight GPUs and nine fans.

This tutorial will highlight how you can mine Ethereum and Z-Cash through a simple step-by-step process. Given that Pandaminer is configured for mining, the process is much simpler than it would be to setup your own custom mining rig, both in terms of hardware and software.

Part 1 - Purchase a Pandaminer
To purchase a Pandaminer, visit the official website here and follow the instructions.
Part 2 - Set up your Pandaminer
Step 1: Ensure the power supply is plugged into the mains supply, and a monitor, keyboard and mouse in plugged into the Pandaminer.
Step 2: Switch on the miner’s power supply and the monitor will wake up. The default operating system for the miner is Windows 10 and the Windows interface will be shown on the monitor
Step 3: The default language for the Pandaminer is Chinese and therefore, must be altered to continue with the configuration. To do so, select the start menu in the bottom left corner. In the bottom left corner select the second option
Step 4: A windows settings menu will pop up. Select the option highlighted below for Time & Language
Step 5: With the first option selected on the left panel, select the option shown below to add a new language
Step 6: Select the option shown below
Step 7: A panel will pop up to add your preferred language. Click on the option shown below and then scroll down and select English (or your preferred language)
Step 8: You should see your selected language added to the list. Select it and press the first option to Set as default
Step 9: Press "accept" and "OK" and the changes should be added
Part 3 - Start mining
Now it’s time to start mining crypto! The next steps will depend on which cryptocurrency you are trying to mine.
To mine Ethereum:
Step 1: Navigate to the ETH folder and open the Readme!! file which contains features and details on how to operate the miner. Scroll down to the ‘Command Line Options’ paragraph
Step 2: Open the config.txt file and remove the ‘#’ in the lines to enable the lines. A typical configuration is shown below. Populate the options with your credentials. Use to Readme!! file to view more options which can be added to the config.txt file. When you have finished entering your details, save and exit the file.
Step 3: Now, double-click the start batch file and your miner is operational
To mine ZEC:
Step 1: Navigate to ZCash folder and open the Readme!! file which contains features and details on how to operate the miner. Scroll down to the ‘Command Line Options’ paragraph
Step 2: Open the config.txt file and remove the ‘#’ in the lines to enable the lines. A typical configuration is shown below. Populate the options with your credentials. Use to Readme!! file to view more options which can be added to the config.txt file. When you have finished entering your details, save and exit the file.
Step 3: Now, double-click the start batch file and your miner will boot up
