Overstock Begins Trading Its Shares Via the Bitcoin Blockchain

The Online retailer, Overstock.com, has recently become the first publicly traded company to issue stock on the Bitcoin blockchain. Overstock has spent the past two years building the technology that facilitates this new way of trading financial securities, tØ. Patrick Byrne, the CEO of Overstock hopes to license tØ’s technology to outside organizations, including not just businesses like Overstock, but stock exchanges, banks, and other financial institutions.

Zcash Breaks $40 in Ongoing Price Decline

Zcash, the anonymous cryptocurrency known for it's zero knowledge proof technology, has recently reached its all-time low in what seems to be an everlasting descent on the price charts. Currently trading at $39.62, Zcash has been on a steady decline ever since its launch on the 28th of October when it reached approximately 3,300 BTC (more than $2 million) on Poloniex.

How to Mine Storj

Storj is a platform that allows users to store data in a secure and decentralized manner, encrypting, shredding and distributing said data to the participants of the network. The data is stored by users that are willing to provide their extra storage space (although they cannot access it) in exchange for a monetary reward that is given in Storj (SJCX), the native currency within the Storj network. Storj can be "farmed" by anyone. Monero is up 0.12% against the dollar at $8.39 and down 0.19% to Ƀ 0.01070 on volumes of 1.7k BTC. 

Ether Classic is down 2.69% to Ƀ 0.001337 with volumes of 7.9k BTC and down 2.80% against the dollar to $1.04.

Dash is up 0.58% at Ƀ 0.01210 with 638 BTC volume and up 0.87% against the dollar at $9.32.

Waves is up 1.42% at Ƀ 0.0002850 on 19 BTC volume. 

Stratis is down 6.32% to Ƀ 0.00007826 on 22 BTC volume.

Lisk has 91 BTC volume for the day. The price is down 0.68% at 0.0001753.
