Coinbase will not add Ethereum Classic for now
Coinbase has recently revealed that there are no plans to add an ETC market to GDAX, at least for now. In the announcement made via twitter, Coinbase explains that it is currently evaluating the situation and that users will be able to withdraw Ethereum Classic through a feature that is currently being built. Coinbase announced via twitter:
"We currently do not have plans to support ETC trading on GDAX (although we are not philosophically opposed to any particular hard fork or coin). We will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate customer demand for new digital assets to add to the platform.”

DigitalX co-founder resigns
Zhenya Tsvetnenko, the founder of the Australian digital currency startup DigitalX, has resigned after being charged with wire fraud and email fraud. Zhenya was, among other names, accused of signing users up for unwanted mobile services, and faces up to 40 years in prison, if convicted. Prosecutors claim that the defendants have made millions on fees paid by customers for the unwanted text messages received.

Malaysia is stocking up on Bitcoin
Bitcoin demand is increasing in Malaysia, following the downtrend of the national currency, Ringgits. Local Bitcoins has registered an all-time record of Ringgit volume, with over 737 Ringgits ($182,000) worth of bitcoin being traded during the last week. Venezuela is also seen increasing interest in the cryptocurrency. This pattern can be observed in most countries where the economy is weakening and the national currency loses value, making citizens deposit their trust in a currency that has a predictable issuance rate, like Bitcoin.
