OKCoin to Accept Ethereum?
OKCoin is rumored to be in the process of adding ethereum trading functionality. Users noticed an ethereum balance in the trading interface which was later removed and strenuously denied by the company. OKcoin said:
"Consistent with our last notice, our stance on ETH has not changed. We experiment with and review the development of all assets."
The DAO at $125m
The DAO project has raised 10.8 million ether, 13% of the total supply, or in USD terms $125 million USD. The DAO venture fund is now in the ratcheting phase where the number of DAO tokens received is increased from 1 to 1.5 Ether per 100 DAO. This now makes "The DAO" the largest crowd fund of all time surpassing Star Citizen at $113.9m. There is some debate as to whether The DAO is actually a crowd fund seeing as the ether pledged is refundable at any point.
Bitcoin Romney Blackmailer Guilty
Michael Brown has been found guilt of extortion and fraud. He blackmailed Mitt Romney 12 weeks away from the presidential election after claiming to have hacked PWC servers to get hold of two undisclosed tax returns. Using the Moniker Dr Evil he demanded a million Bitcoin ransom. He now faces up to 25 years in prison.
