Market Update

At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is sitting at $6,465 representing a loss of 1.42% in the last 24 hours. More than $320 M worth of BTC were exchanged in the BTC/USD market representing a 21% share of the global daily volume. The BTC/KRW pair represents a 19% share.

The Ethereum price has dropped 3.43% over the past 24 hours and is currently sitting at $201, with over $100 M worth of Ether exchanged in the past 24 hours on the ETH/USD pair which has a 17% market share of the daily trading volume.

Blockchain Startup Tron Announces Partnership with Internet Giant Baidu

Yesterday, the Tron Foundation revealed that it would be working closely with Baidu, a China-based internet giant, to use their cloud solutions. The recent announcement confirmed Tron’s October 12 teaser in which it admitted partnering with a giant whose valuation was worth billions of dollars. On Twitter, the Tron Foundation stated: 

"#TRON is joining forces with Internet service giant Baidu and will continue to work with large cloud service providers to offer blockchain solutions, make the technology more accessible for users and small business alike. End goal: mass adoption of #blockchain. $TRX"

Emma to Add Support for 'Read-Only' Cryptocurrency Features

Yesterday, Emma, a Leading Personal Finance Management App that helps users “avoid overdraft fees”, announced that it is preparing to launch a new feature that allows users to manage their crypto assets by connecting them to many different digital currency exchanges. Edoardo Moreni, the co-founder and CEO of Emma, stated:

"We see cryptocurrency as the next emerging asset class. At this point, there are more than 3 million people who have bought crypto in the U.K. It’s pretty evident that we need to start accepting this as any other type of financial product, in the same way we treat current accounts and credit cards."

Qtum Announced a New Partnership With Amazon Web Services'

Recently, Qtum, the Singapore-based blockchain project, announced a new partnership with Amazon Web Services. AWS is Amazon’s cloud computing company, and users of the service will soon be able to develop and launch smart contracts thanks to the new partnership with Qtum. According to a press release issued on last Wednesday, the smart contracts will use the Amazon Machine Image. Qtum CIO, Miguel Palencia stated: 

"We are going to work together [with Amazon] to contact different customers and clients. We're looking into use cases, and the best way to do it is to have a contact with companies who have those use cases. Some clients have their own ideas and their own developers, and some of them want more support from us, want to talk to us directly."
