Recently, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, Bitfinex, has expanded its platform's functionality by launching an “Algorithm Order Library”. According to an official blog post, the algorithm is part of the "Honey Framework" toolkit, an open-source toolkit created by the company for traders to develop and implement custom order types & trading strategies, and will allow users to program their own order types on the Bitfinex platform. Furthermore, the new feature will allow traders to use complex order types like Iceberg, TWAP, and Accumulate/Distribute. Cris Mihalache, Software Engineer at Bitfinex stated:
"Today we are happy to announce the release of the Honey Framework, beginning with an Algorithmic Order library for creating custom, complex order types for the Bitfinex platform. Algorithmic orders utilize the base set of atomic orders already available on the Bitfinex platform in order to create more complex behaviors, enabling orders that react to market events in real-time."
