Market Update

At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is sitting at $3,991 representing a loss of 0.03% in the last 24 hours. More than $65M worth of BTC were exchanged in the BTC/USD market representing a 5.6% share of the global daily volume. The pair with the most volume was the BTC/USDT with an 83.7% share.

The Ethereum price has dropped 0.67% over the past 24 hours and is currently sitting at $135, with over $25M worth of Ether exchanged in the past 24 hours on the ETH/USD pair which has a 2.5% market share of the daily trading volume. The largest ETH trading pair was the ETH/USDT

Binance Explains Launchpad Controversial New Sale Format

Yesterday, Changpeng Zhao, the co-founder and CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, explained the motivation behind Binance Launchpad's new lottery-style token sale format, instead of the old first-come-first-served, and addressed some of the most common questions/concerns raised by the crypto community. Binance sent out the following tweet to announce the new lottery format for the next project on Binance Launchpad.

"Update to the #Binance Launchpad Token Sale Format. Will address some of the questions/concerns/feedback in this thread. Our new Launchpad model is not set in stone. It’s the result of multiple detailed discussions over the weekend, while considering all angles. We will consider suggestions and will make certain tweaks."

China Favors Tron and EOS in New Crypto Ranking Release

The Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID), under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released the 11th update of its crypto project ranking report on Friday. The number of crypto projects evaluated this month was 35, unchanged from the previous month. The new ranking report places Bitcoin (BTC) in 15th, while EOS keeps its top spot. Tron (TRX) came in second, after overtaking Ethereum (ETH) in February.

Vietnam to Soon Have a Fully-Authorized Cryptocurrency Exchange

Vietnam is reportedly set to have a fully-authorized cryptocurrency exchange, as two firms in the country have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the production of a crypto trading platform, after obtaining a license for it. According to a recently published press release, the largest distribution company in Vietnam, the Linh Thanh Group, is going to develop the trading platform along with Switzerland-based blockchain firm KRONN Ventures AG. The press release reads:

"The industry expectation is that by combining Linh Thanh Group's massive distribution network, which is the largest in Vietnam, with the world-class technology of KRONN Ventures, the impact will be widely felt not only in Vietnam but also in other surrounding Asian countries."

Litecoin is down 0.47% against the dollar for the day at $59.73 and down 0.4% to Ƀ0.01492 on volumes of Ƀ90.8k.

EOS is up 0.19% to Ƀ0.0009113 on Ƀ47.4k volume.

Ripple is down 0.88% to Ƀ0.00007666 with volumes of Ƀ26.2k and down 0.84% against the dollar at $0.3067.

Bitcoin Cash is up 0.1% to Ƀ0.04117 with volumes of Ƀ13.5k and down 0.18% against the dollar at $164.74.

Tron is down 1.02% to Ƀ0.00000583 on Ƀ12.1k volume.

Neo is down 1.14% for the day to Ƀ0.002261 per NEO and down 0.76% against the dollar to $9.15 with an average volume of Ƀ9.4k for the 24 hour period.
