Where does everyone see DGB going? One month, six months, one year and later?

Another question direction needed please - I have two friends I sent DGB’s to – one has his stuck on his old IPad; the other is stuck on his old phone. Can I retrieve them back to my wallet? Or are those 500,000 digibyte’s M I A for good? If they are where do they end up at? Just very curious. Yes, Jared has helped me in the past, but he’s been super busy. If someone here point me in the direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Tyvm….
